Hi guys :) while waiting for my hair to dry, i decided to do a short flashback on our two years in vjc. this post was supposed to be originally on my own blog. but then again, why not do this dead blog a huge favour and revive it! and why im doing this NOW is because the army guys have all temporarily turned back into civilians. so s35-ians out there reading this, return this favour and flood this blog (or at least, the tagboard) with replies allrighty?

there are just too many pictures. so im just gonna post a few out of the many events we had together. these photos will sort of represent the memories i had with this (very low profile) class. just scroll through and try to see if you can rmb when they were taken!

sadly, not everyone will be in the photos cause i'd rather post random shots instead of those say-cheese-group-shots. u know whadya mean? hahahahhahaha!

Right, so the details are here. We will be holding a BBQ dinner at Joshua's place on the 17th June to celebrate well not only the June babies' birthdays but basically its an S35 gathering. So well...

1pm - For those interested in playing some water captain's ball =)
3pm - We will be cooking some stuff for the BBQ lol =)
5pm - BBQ dinner starts, so please make your way to Joshua's house by then.

Of course we will not just be eating, we will play some games as well and please please bring extra set of clothes to change don't say I didn't warn all of you =)

Hopefully everyone is able to turn up of course and please inform me by end of this week if you will be coming only at 4plus or earlier, we can make arrangements to go Kbox, movie etc. =)

Yes, school is out, holidays (presumably) are in. So to those concerned only, here's the info regarding the paintball outing. Sounds sweet isn't it?

I decided that crossfire, at singapore discovery centre, is the best one here so far. The Yishun one seems kinda noobish compared to this. Preferably we get maximum, 10 of us to go coz any more than that and we'll have to split and take turns, and we know how we hate waiting right? Unless, of course, assuming more wanna come along and we'll have separate arenas.

Yea so we've got about 5 ppl interested so far. Any more takers interested? Well yea, I've got a few ppl from the junior class who are interested as well so we'll take it from there ya.

Venue: Singapore Discovery Centre (dumping ground for primary school kids, yea you remember don't you?)

Time: I say we take slot 1. 9am to 1030am. This way, the closet muggers, ahem, won't feel so stressed out since they can rush home to continue their mugging. Besides, it's cheaper too.

Cost: $25 per pax. $0.70 for every extra 10 paintballs. Cheap cheap. Relatively to the rest.

We'll get 250 paintballs for the one session. So divide it accordingly amongst us. Not enough, buy more. 70 cents.. hmm. that's the cost of 1 fruit punch, or 2 seaweed chicken, or ~1 third a briyani chicken rice. So no problems regarding cost.

Yes, it's only 1.5 hrs out of your 1 month mugging spree, so don't gimme that lame excuse. It's really cheap. You spend more on bio notes. It's fun. How can you not find shooting ppl fun?? It promotes bonding etc. It's a stress reliever. A break from the studies. Don't tell me it's too far from your house, although I know Singapore is Damn big for a country, you've heard of MRT right? Don't tell me ur feeling slack. Get off your butts and move. U can slack the whole month. Best of all, we're together as 08/9S35rians.

Ok. So to those concerned, please let me know your thoughts asap. There's lots to be done. Then I can ask the juniors too. And yes, anyone else can come too. You are all concerned. Say YES please.

Woo finally the CTs are over! Hahas, temporary relief from studying, and back to CCAs. All the best for Sports and the Arts! Let's celebrate 25th Anniversary with a wealth of achievements! (and of course, full days xD) Cheers to CHAMPIONS AND GOLD W HONOURS =)

Anyway, the JTS has been confirmed. Its on the 20th March 2009 (not 2008). We will be having dinner at Fish and Co. at some 'glass house' near parkmall (that should be the venue lol). Meeting time ranges from 5-6 and if you all are feeling bored, maybe we can meet earlier to do (I don't know what) something.

In any case, the final details will be posted on Wednesday night. So do check back for the details. Meanwhile, enjoy your holidays! (although its packed with trainings and such)

Hi people, i just came across this video on mitosis (sorry no life haha). It really does help one visualise all the different stages involved, and the music just awesome-fies the whole thing. I think Ms Farah showed this to us last year.

And here's one on Meiosis. Not bad too, though it got kinda confusing with their choice on the number of chromosomes. Usually it's 4n -> 2n -> n. Here its like 6 chromosomes breaking off into 3/3. Anyway, it's also pretty good in aiding visualisation.

So, after we are officially done with PW, we'll go to Marina Square for our Lunch and the rest of the activities, Bowling, Arcade-ing, etc...

Right, after almost dying from cardiac arrest thanks to the very kiddy cute Zoe (Joshua.... I've got 2 bad news... haha funny) The pics are finally up:

If you noticed, the brilliant angle, positioning and lighting makes this picture the best. It captures the fast flowing fluidity of time as seen by the blurs, yet 35 stays united throughout it all... Truly a masterpiece that would be remembered...

(oh did I mention Zoe's not in there muahaha xP)

Here, the picture speaks volumes by itself. The solidarity, togetherness and synergy of S35 is brought out beautifully and elegantly... (with the help of a helpful, enthusiastic fellow Victorian with shaky hands..) It holds too, a tinge of bittersweet nostalgia as this was the location of our PAE class photo - before the victorious (oh it makes me so proud) Victorian crest.

Saw an article regarding this video clip in the papers just now and decided to look it up. This is amazing, to think that animals actually possess some conscientious ability to remember events and to display affection for another species. Especially when this animal is a carnivore. Can't imagine that there are some people in the world who are absolutely incapable of caring for another apart for themselves, even if that other were his own mother...

Firstly, Mr Toh has informed us that this Thursday due to Labour Day being a holiday, he will call us back on Saturday morning to go through Bio mock SPA review with us. So yeah get ready to go back school on Saturday =)

Secondly, JTS, since its a VJ tradition let's not break it shall we? Our JTS will be held after Sports Day this wednesday 30th April. Its the only day where most(?) do not have CCA afterwards...or else we will have to postpone the JTS to June holidays...dragging it is worse so yeah lol. PLEASE bring at least $20 more? Although there is really no purpose or wadsoever to treat our seniors -_- but yeah treat is as deposit for next year? (dunno wad i talking about lah) but yeah and PLEASE turn up...take it as begging lol...

yesterday was spent on waking up, friendly, kfc, friendly, bathing and s35's maiden bbq

what can i say, it was far different from any other class bbq i had in the past

it was actually fun and comfortable

not some "oh should i go talk to that group" or "shit why am i sitting next to you" kinda of bbq

it was a "have a bite of my nutella covered marshmellow", "what, cha shao flavoured buffalo wings??", "shirleen you look.. chaota!", "reminders not to say the word r**n", "dian xiao er", "securityguard=pilot", "cam-whoring", "having trouble communicating with abel", "hey lets dunk ke-en!", "wait lemme take out my watch/shoes/wallet before u dunk me", "TO THE MAX" kinda bbq

thanks to joshua and family for opening up his place to us. and i felt kinda of paiseh leaving the place before cleaning up the mess we created, it was joshu's mum who helped cleared the mess in the end (i think)

Ok guys,

The food has been ordered, the venue set, and the countdown begins haha.

But I still need to know who's coming to shop with me. We will be getting equipment, foodstuffs and drinks before heading over to my place to swim/football or something.

The time will be 1.30pm (1330hrs) Friday, at the Macdonald's opposite parkway. We'll have a light lunch before going to shop. Mayer, you will have to come 'cause you're holding onto the vouchers.

The cost so far is $202.20, giving us a fair amount of extra cash to burn haha. (pun unintended)
I just need 4 to 5 people, not the entire class. If you can make it, please tag or sms me thanks. Otherwise, we are gonna have to cook, eat and clean up with just our bare fingers.

hey s35, we are planning to have a class outing on sunday, 9 Marcch.
The events are as follow:
We will meet for lunch first at about 12pm at City Hall MRT Station, go for the IT Fair at Suntec, then perhaps go for movie after that and maybe dinner.
It has been a long time since we have a class outing, and i think the March Holidays would be the only chance for us to meet up as our workload would pile up after the March Holidays. So i beseech u all to try and come for the class outing.
This class outing apply to the 1st intakers, so please join us :)

Secondly, can we have some suggestion as to what to order for the bbq on friday. Please post your suggestion at the tagbox and also any special requirements like maybe if u are vegetarian.
P.S. Joshua is getting damn stressed up over dis, so please state ur requests and suggestions fast.
One last thing, please bring extra clothing and/or swimwear if u wan to swim,on friday cos i got dis feeling dat everyone would be dunk. Also, any stuff u wan to play wif, please bring it :)

Lastly, on friday itself, those who can come early ( early as in in the morning) please do come, cause Joshua is bringing u all out to shop.

Hi S35,

All of you should be aware by now, about the upcoming BBQ we will be having. The tentative date is 14th march (friday)

It will be a full day event, but the bbq will be in the evening, so for those who can't make it during the day, just come for the bbq.

The day's activities have not been decided upon yet, but we are planning to go to the movies, bowl, swim, play soccer, frisbee etc My place is along the river and sea, so it's pretty relaxing to just chill by the evening wind as well.

during the lecture, i was there looking at her walking frm right to left and left to right hahah.

Hey 08S35!

Glad this blog's not rotting! Hahas random comment but yeah term1's almost over! March holidays are here! So we got a few activities lined up lol.

1) Class outing cum BBQ at Joshie's house!
- Tentatively its on the friday of holidays
- Any suggestions to what to do on that day?
- Movie, cycling, blah blah

2) JTS cum Juniors Meet Seniors
- 2nd intakers must feel welcomed! =)
- We have to treat them soon...
- Want to hold it on the same friday?

So yeah, basically thats all so far...anymore activities can suggest? Oh yeah, we short of class funds so get ready to contribute to class fund! About BBQ, Cedric, Felicia, YunRong, Joey, Woon Chian and Kevin you all still need to pay! xD

Before i forget, Celine's idea is cool. We should take a photo. Let's wear our ties lol, kidding, the ties can be taken on friday.

08s35, how have u guys been? still as playful i guess lol. i miss those slacky yet slightly productive days in VJ, in 08s35.

anyway in case some of u are not aware of whats happening to the 08s35 meririans (meridian+victorian), i shall update you guys. im in the same class as nida, taking BCME. yunrong is in another class, taking BCME as well. joey tried something unexpected like general studies in chinese with chem, maths and bio. fyi, for those who take GSC in meridian, their second CCA will automatically be some chinese drama cultural club or something so when you see joey next time, speak to her in chinese.

sian... victoria is so fun and noisy! haha. no one talks in meridian lecture. no food passed around too!! i miss the picnic sessions during vj lectures! its extremely intimidating! and our bio lecturer has this weird habit of grabbing this attendance file with the attendance list of all the bio classes in the lecture theatre and start calling a name randomly to answer her obviously difficult qns. i hope i dont get called in my entire JC life, esp when im clueless about the ans. i'd rather drift away (internal joke, hope u get it. think BIOLOGY if u cant figure it out) 100 times than attend one of mj's bio lecture.

what else... pe hasn't started here so we dont have mock napha yet? all the best for those re-taking, hope u guys pass and stop going to 3rd period pe and do tai chi.

how are u guys looking in vj uni? can someone take a photo and show it to me? i havent gotten my mj uni even thuogh 95% of the cohort gotten it. cause there isnt anymore stock (inefficiency). so im still wearing the green uniform. i feel like an algae planted on the sea of blue uniforms.

shan't hog the blog any longer. hope you guys are having fun and can someone plan an outing during march holidays?!?! hope to see you guys soon!

Tutorial Day

Thursday stands for tutorial day. we only have tutorials today. plus double period PE. NAPFA mock test! thankfully, not a lot passed so we can still have PE as a class and not feel like the world is so unfair. because we've got friends to have pe with :)

Tuesday is MMM day too! lol like zoe said: Mega MONG Marathon
6 periods now! would you believe it? and if you include chem lecture then its 8 periods.
thats a hell lot. lol

im trying to revive this blog you know. just in case you're thinking im being super random. which i truly am.

Hi all,

my first time here, and it's looking kinda dead already haha xD

SO

For all the newbies, this is a "Survivor's guide" to living through 2 yrs with us!

1) Don't ever see Mr Toh during chem class (if u do see him, act blur and LOOK away immediately)
2) Don't drop your glass test tubes, they break, believe me, I know
3) We are not meant to understand anything during lectures, it's a school education system thing
4) We are also not meant to understand anything during tutorials, it's a school education programme (Teach less, learn more)
5) If your assignments are not done, rejoice, YOU are not ALONE
6) Get immune to paying for paper FAST
7) LTs are prone to mood swings, sometimes its ******* hot, sometimes its ******* cold
8) If Uncle Mayo creeps up behind you in the toilet... haha it's your lucky day

Wei Jian: Really fun to be with, but seriously saturated with crap, finds Jonny Depp cute, to the max.

Gabriel: Clarinetist. Smart and confident. Has problems pronouncing appeal =)

Mayer: CT rep. Cool Floorballer.

Dong kun: Sexy china man. Adores fish and chips... sorry its fish and rice. Chem, bio god in disguise.

Yep Yep! today's ren ri! took picz of the yu sheng juz now. Though it looked a bit..errr...inedible, it was quite nice! A pity so many of u had to go... Cedric, Filbert, Vernon and I went to support audrey at the musicfest auditions aft tad. She owns us man! dun dare go K wif her le.... jkjk. Anyway, wishing all of you HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
